VEVUE — The Messiah for Transparency in Reliable Information and Journalism?
How often does it occurs with us that we need some reliable information about a specific thing, we’re in dire need of it but still we live deprived of that information until something really trustworthy pops out. Often if happens that the information provided to us is fake or misleading and we land up in really bad situations. The competition in the current world is rising exponentially in every field and with competition comes the ever growing need of the human race to gather more whatever they can. Often we do not think of the adverse effects that our actions might have on the community to which we’re offering our services to but we try to maximize our profits.
With this current scenario there rises a need for someone to authenticate the information that we have in order to save ourselves from possible trouble. To explain the situation, let me take a very simple example of someone buying a recently launched smartphone. Let’s say I want to buy a smartphone that was launched couple of days ago, and there is a hype in market about the smartphone. The company producing the smartphone boasts of several features like out phone has best camera quality, Face ID , Bezel Less screen (guess the smartphone :P) and this and that. Now that’s what we’ve been told by the company. Its the company. It would do every single possible trick to make its product sell. Now here comes us. We’re planning to buy that phone. So what do we do?
We find reliable soureces whose information we expect is genuine and verifed and how do we do this?
Yes! you’re right, we jump to YouTube and reviews! We search for every genuine information that we can gather about that product from our sources and find about every pros and con of the product and decide upon that information whether we want to buy that smartphone or not!
This is how we proceed. Data in the current world is a resource for which every giant is fighting for and reliable data, that would definitely be a precious one.
So what if I told you that there’s actually a resource currently being built which can solve your problem of gettting reliable information on the go.
Yes that’s right and that resource is Vevue.
Vevue is platform on which users can share reliable information through our very dear mode of information and i.e Videos. Let’s say a user wants some information about some location. Then this user pins this location and raises a request through their mobile app. Now this request can be viewed by other users and any user nearby that location can make a video about the desired information and if the information is what the requester request for, then the uploader gets an incentive in VEVUE tokens.
So both the parties are benifitted, the requestor gets the desired informationadn the uploader gets an incentive!
Currently we might not be able to realize the actual potential that this platform holds but I believe that this could be the next big thing! I believe that this can really transform the journalism industry. We would not have to anymore believe on whatever that media has to throw to us, we can actually get verified information about events and stuffs happening around all over the world.
